Our exceptional safety performance is a direct and continuous result of effective planning for safety at the project level.  At QBC, we recognize that all workers have the right to work in a safe and healthy environment, consistent with all Occupational Health and Safety Regulations in Tanzania.  Hence we are committed to take every reasonable effort to eliminate the hazards that cause accidents and injuries.

Every precaution in all circumstances is taken for the protection of site staff and everyone involved in construction sites, including creating a safe working environment.

Supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of site workers and are also responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment required for use by each worker is safe; and that each worker should work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures. Site staffs are given adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect themselves and those who work around them.

Disregard or wilful violations of the above by employees at any level are considered as a cause for disciplinary action, in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
